The Jeff Leonia Reel and Steel Classic began as more than just a fishing and diving tournament—it began as a way to capture the spirit of a man who lived for the ocean.
Jeff was happiest with salt on his skin, a rod in his hand, or bubbles rising as he explored the underwater world. He had a gift for finding adventure in every tide and, for reminding all of us to live each day like it truly mattered.
When family, friends, and the community gather for the Classic, it feels like Jeff is right there with us—laughing at the dock, swapping stories after a long day on the water, or cheering on the next big catch. The friendly competition is just part of it. The real magic is in the way it brings people together, just like Jeff always did.
And the best part? The energy and love that pour into this event don’t stop when the day is over. The funds we raise go on to inspire the next generation of anglers and divers, giving kids and young adults the chance to experience the same joy Jeff felt when he cast a line or dove beneath the waves.
